Welcome to Feature Friday, where I will introduce you to some of my amazing sisters in fitness. If you missed my first few posts in the series, just click on the Feature Friday category to the right to see all of the amazing women I have featured. The ladies featured in this series rise above the fitness industry BS of quick fixes, detoxes, cleanses and/or working out for hours every week in order to achieve results. I am confident that you will find them encouraging and inspirational to your fitness journey.
Today I'm honored to introduce you to Amy Vandeputte of Fast Forward Amy. Amy was inspired to become a coach after learning so much through her own weight loss & health journey and saw other people struggling with the same things she used to struggle with. She thought it would be a shame not to help them with the things she had learned! This way she could help them reach success faster, and they wouldn't have to read all the books and courses she had taken.
Her passion is empowering women to become the strongest, bravest version of themselves. Hand in hand with that, she feels very passionately about helping people break free from their food obsession, and getting back to a neutral place with themselves. Every person deserves to feel good in their own body and mind. The one thing she wishes all women would practice when it comes to their health is acting from a place of love and positivity.
For her health means waking up with energy, being without disease or aches and feeling at ease with your own body and mind. Her signature programs include:
Her greatest success as a coach include helping her clients be kinder to themselves and acting from a place of love for themselves (instead of hate). This is much more powerful than feeling ashamed and acting from there.
So who is Amy outside of being a fantastic coach? Check out her answers to some of the questions I asked her.
What is your favorite book?
It's too difficult to name only one, haha! I read a lot and have a big list. At the moment I love the book "You are a Badass at Making Money" by Jen Sincero, and Napoleon Hill's "Grow Rich with Peace of Mind".
What is your favorite quote?
"You are the gatekeeper of your energy." - Amy, herself
What is your favorite thing to do for a workout?
I love EMOM's for their efficiency! I go through periods of heavy lifting, and other periods of quick-and-sweaty circuits with dumbbells and kettlebells.
What is one thing/quirk no one knows about you?
I speak 3 languages fluently, and another 3 basic level.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Read, drink a glass of Italian red wine and spend time with friends and family. I love to travel and fill my head with new experiences.
